HTX Fire sent several teams to the Bayou Showcase, a Premier Basketball Tournament held in Channelview and had much success. HTX Fire 2021 team took the Green middle school division by defeating the Livingston Ladies in dramatic fashion. A buzzer beater 3 pointer in OT helped 2021 claim victory.
HTX Fire’s HS Orange team also dropped a buzzer beating three in the semi’s to help them move on to the championship in the open division. They lost by 10 to a highly skilled Skyrise team.
No drama for the 2022 team. The outscored their opponents in the Red Middle School division by an average of 28 points!!! 2022 went 5-0 to win claim the championship.
